Patients and members of the public took part in an event to shape the future strategy of NHS Ashford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
More than 20 people attended the engagement strategy day on 30 March to discuss how the CCG can work closer with patients and communities.
They also had the chance to look at the CCG’s draft one-year plan and five-year vision for healthcare.
Martin Harvey, Lay Member for Patient Participation and Engagement, said: “The day saw some constructive feedback from all the Ashford patient groups and communities at this important time when the CCG is looking ahead to meet the demands it faces over the next few years.
“We believe in the power of partnership working. We want local people to be actively involved with the CCG when planning services as well as supporting them to live healthier lives.
“The NHS is there for us - for everyone - from the moment we are born throughout our entire life. It is hugely important that patients and the voluntary sector are involved in its future.”
