Help us improve your diabetes service

User AvatarPosted by Beatrice Liddell at 27/02/2014 14:51:43

People with diabetes from across the NHS Ashford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) area are being encouraged to complete a short survey about plans to improve diabetes services.

The CCG is proposing to make improvements to diabetes services which will include:

  • Providing diabetes care closer to home
  • GP training - so they are able to provide more diabetes care
  • A specialist team will be available to support your GP.

It is hoped that these changes will mean people will only need to go to hospital when it is absolutely necessary (for example, in an emergency or when they need special equipment).

For further information, please view the ‘Diabetes is complicated’ PowerPoint presentation.

The survey is open to any person with diabetes in the east Kent area and needs to be completed by May 2014.
