Keeping Ashford up to date with progress on dementia services

User AvatarPosted by Bobbie Walkem-Smith at 30/12/2013 09:41:50

NHS Ashford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is proud to publish Dementia Focus, a newsletter of information and good news about dementia support services in Kent and Medway.

Dementia Focus is a collaborative newsletter which aims to keep people in Kent and Medway informed about the positive changes that are being made to support people with dementia, their families and carers. KMCS has produced Dementia Focus in partnership with Kent County Council and with valued contribution from NHS and voluntary sector care providers.

Download the first edition here.

The newsletter gives an update on local projects funded by the Dementia Challenge, which was launched in March 2012 by Prime Minister David Cameron. Kent and Medway successfully bid for £1.5 million from the regional dementia challenge fund to support a number of exciting projects across the county to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.

Dementia Focus will be distributed to a wide range of locations across the county in the new year.
